Monongolian Beef

This recipe came from a Cooking Light magazine.

Monongolian Beef

1 (1 pound) flank steak, trimmed and cut into thin slices
butter flavored cooking spray
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons minced peeled fresh ginger
1 teaspoon bottled minced roasted garlic
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
4 green onions, cut into 1 inch pieces

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat steak with cooking spray. Add steak to pan; cook 3 minutes or until browned and liquid has almost evaporated, stirring ocassionally.

Combine hoisin sauce and next 5 ingreients (through pepper) in a small bowl. Add sauce mixture and onions to steak in pan; cook 1 minute or until sauce is slightly reduced (do not overcook steak). Yields: 4 servings (serving size 1/2 cup)
